ORC. Process will continue and full amendments will be made available prior to being voted
to get to the State House Agenda to be put on a Town Ballot
PUBLIC COMMENT
Bill Schmidt P5-Discusses the Ordinance Committee Recommendations. Does not agree with eliminating
Precinct Councilors. He agrees with the 2 year term of President and Councilor. A new point provision for
how the councilors can raise their salary and if there were two year term, you could adjust the councilor’s
salary. The Council has never had an increase in salary, it has been believed it should be a volunteer
position.
Any amendment, change can be made from the ORC Recommendations by the Town Councilors.
At this point there has been no amendments to the “recall” language, which will be discussed.
Marc Chapedelain, Chair of the ORC discusses thanks the council for all the time they have given these
ORC recommendations. 4-8-11-&12 are ordinance changes, these do not have to go to the voters.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Kurt Millar P2-Appreciated all the efforts on the Ordinance Review Committee Recommendations by the
Town Council. He stated he’s received feedback that the residents are wondering why they are not being
more included on this vote? Some do not understand, it will be on a ballot and they will be voting for it.
Has question on changes that have occurred with the Board of Health with the Animal Ordinance and feels
these changes should have been reviewed by professionals, not just the Board of Health members.
Concern is Communication with Town Council, Town Manager and Board of Health should be more in-
depth.
Bill Schmidt, Chair of the Board of Health states that his committee is professionals and feels they do make
the best professional decisions on their recommendations.
Julia Wallerce P2, Happy Mass DOT was at meeting. Suggests on Walden Street Sidewalks that there is
state money (grants) that could help with this. Confusion about the sharrows in town and they do make safe
streets.
