PUBLIC HEARING(S)
1. PUBLIC HEARING(S)
Public Hearing Opened
Taking of Town Easements-Revere St. TIP’s Project
The Town Manager discusses that Mass DOT wants to make sure all easements are in place.
Some people did not even know they had easements that needed to be taken. Appraisals were
sent for all temp. and permanent easements.
Approx. 67 parcels were appraised and then that appraisal was sent to be reviewed by another
appraiser. A Just Compensation Study letter was sent to all involved on their easements and
what the value is they are offered..
Individual Compensation $719,018 is being paid by ARPA’s money so it is not coming from our
funding
A diary of phone calls and all documentation must be sent to Mass DOT
Milo plans are available for review to e recorded with the registry of deeds…
If a person does not agree with offering they can review and request a change in offering.
Public Comment:
Councilor Aiello finds Massports information stunningly vague and would like more
information on this entire runway closure to notify the public of more information and would
like contractual information that should be shared with the Town Council
Ernani Bove P4--139 Revere St.—He states he received paperwork in mail but knew nothing
about the easement taking nor this meeting. He is advised that if he does not agree with this
value he must get a private appraiser and do his due diligence with his own legal team.
These easements are being done, recorded and paid whether anyone agrees or not. You do have
a choice to appeal.
He is also complaining about a bus stop right in front of his home.
