Vote to approve the Retirement Board minutes from the Special meeting held on August 10, 2023: Vote to approve the Eastern Bank Statement and Reconciliation for July 2023 in the amount of $227,414.38. Vote to approve the Trial Balance, Cash Receipts, Cash Disbursements, General Ledger, and Adjustments for June 2023. Vote to approve the Trial Balance, Cash Receipts, Cash Disbursements, General Ledger, and Adjustments for July 2023. Discuss/Vote regarding the transfer of funds from Eastern Bank to PRIT of appropriation money received effective September 1, 2022 Vote to approve the transfer of Eric Doyle’s total accumulated deductions effective August 31, 2023, to the Revere Retirement System. Dates of service: 4/13/2015-7/5/23. Winthrop’s 3(8)(c) liability is 8.1667 years. Vote to approve the transfer of Richard Ferrino Jr.’s total accumulated deductions effective August 31, 2023, to the State Retirement Board. Dates of service 10/16/17-5/7/2022. Winthrop’s 3(8)(c) liability is 4.5000 years. Vote to approve the following rollover/refund of accumulated deductions effective August 31, 2023: Robert VanBuskirk DPW Dates of service: 08/30/2020 -2/24/2021 .7500 years of service. 09/12/2022- 11/30/2022 Vote to approve the distribution of Option B Retiree, Diane Montgomery Annuity Savings balance to her Option B beneficiary. Diane passed away on July 18, 2023. Vote to approve the Retirement System Warrant (Payroll, Accounts Payable, Investment transfers) for August 2023. Vote to approve Carol Douglas’ Application for Voluntary Superannuation Option B, effective October 15, 2023. Carol worked in the assessing office as a clerk with 35.250 years of creditable service. Vote to approve 13.4167 years of creditable service that the Winthrop Retirement Board will accept upon full payment by Tanji Cifuni to the Melrose Retirement System. Tanji had taken a full refund of her accumulated deductions. She worked for Town from August 13, 2007, until January 30, 2021. Vote to approve the acceptance of Maria Aiello effective August 8, 2023, at 9% + 2%, $42,400.00 (pro-rated) full time. Maria is an administrative secretary for Winthrop Schools. Vote to approve the acceptance of Melissa Shea, effective August 23, 2023, at 9% + 2%, $42,348.09, full time. Melissa is a clerk in the treasurer’s office. Vote to approve the acceptance of Elizabeth Walker effective August 29, 2023, at 9% + 2%, $30,992.00 full time. Elizabeth is an ESP for Winthrop Schools. Vote to approve the acceptance of Stacey Lamiaux effective August 29, 2023, at 9% + 2%, $32,209.00 full time. Stacey is an ESP for Winthrop Schools. Vote to approve the acceptance of Eric Anderson effective August 29, 2023, at 9% + 2%, $28,642.00 full time. Eric is an ESP for Winthrop Schools. Vote to approve the acceptance of Tyler Strawhecker effective August 29, 2023, at 9% + 2%, $28,642.00 full time. Tyler is an ESP for Winthrop Schools. Old Business New Business Discuss/vote Section 91A excess earnings collection issue. Discuss/vote stopping the issuance of retiree’s monthly paystubs effective September 30, 2023. Administrators Announcements: The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for September 26, 2023, at 4:00PM in the Harvey Room. John Boorak from PERAC will be joining via Zoom to present the latest actuarial valuation. Documents were emailed to the Board on August 22, 2023, for review prior to the September meeting.
