Vasilly Malios P5- Thanks Town Clerk for their hard work. He took it upon himself to do a survey on why the Fire
House was not voted in and it was discussed by most it was due to the location
Bill Schmidt commends Mr. Mallios for his hard work. He spent time campaigning for candidates…everyone believed a
new fire house is needed but question the …location, cost, where tenants go…he urges Town Council to engage the public
with the next proposal of the Fire House
John DaRos P6-Mission accomplished that a new fire house is needed and agrees that the need to act is now …wishes

scores…post and nag and areas of opportunities…they have addressed issues with a math program that starts with
elementary school students…
Education is a process….what is good about these reports that in 10 th grade when completed, we are incredibly successful
with the MCAS scores…we are in the 90+ percentile of our students passing the MCAS
Positive Feedback….
All conference all-stars…sports teams did really well…next week Thanksgiving Game
10. TOWN MANAGER REPORT
He attended Ferry Zoom meeting with stakeholders, discussed plans for next season. All are happy with progress.
Currently in a two yr. lease and wish for it to be continued.
There will be a Tax Classification Public Hearing on November 28 th to begin the setting of the FY24 Tax Rate
Discussed the location of the Fire House but it is imperative we get a new firehouse. Cost increases close to $100,000
monthly…

Revere St. first coat of pavement will be this week.
DPW Calla it is a 4” binder course….will be done by Friday, next week the last 2”
He shares the same frustration as all how road was left for long weekend. It is really important that we maintain reasonable
expectation. This road way reproduction will begin soon from Magees Corner and Crest Ave next…this will achieve proper
curb height and road service that will hold for decades…years and years of just overlay left us with no drainage, pot holes,
uneven curbs. This is not just an overlay it is complete reconstruction.
Councilor Belcher thanks for update on construction but would like more of “layman” terms for citizens to totally
understand.
Councilor Munson…what is a binder?
DPW Calla—base asphalt…..this will stay through the winter…this is the first phase and it will be completed in the spring.
Facebook just has too much information that can be wrong….we cannot police it unfortunately.
Comcast? Renegotiation? Can we make sure service level high enough. When paying top notch dollar we should have
better service. Town working on Capital from Comcast, WCAT depends on this income from Comcast.
Town Manager reports Rink will not be included in the Middle School RFI
Can there be a ballot question with A-B –C…..
Town Manager has never seen a ballot question like this, there could be a survey.
