Minutes of Meeting held
Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at 7:00

Present: Joanne Hillman, Karen Blake, Linda Rainville, Nellie Kurz, Alyssa True, Larry Huntoon,

Guy Hillman

Absent: Goldie Boncore, Mary Crisafi

-Grant approval letters have gone out to the grantees

-Motion to begin sharing the responsibilities of the Treasurer of the Cultural Council between
WCC members Linda Rainville and Alyssa True

Motion Approved

-Read aloud thank you letter from John Porcino from his WCC Sponsored performance To Life:
Celebration in Story, Song and Music. His final summary letter is ready to be filed.

-Motion to give an extension and allow a change to the MCC grant recipient Delvena Theatre
Company. They had a Winthrop Cultural Council Grant to do A Christmas Carol, but
were unable to perform because of illness. They will instead perform The Incredible
Mae West! show in early 2024 as a carryover of the Grant.

Motion Approved
-Member Alyssa True was able to set up a Winthrop Cultural Council google group,
(winthropcuilturalcouncil@googlegroups.com) so all members of the WCC can receive emails
from the official WCC gmail account.

-Motion to approve minutes from September, October and November.

Motion Approved
