Discussions of Main St. Plantings which are mostly completed

Discussion of plantings with National Grid money $9,000 which was given to cover the cost of
damage to existing trees along Revere St. Tree committee will suggest addresses along the
route where we would like the trees and Steve Calla will make the call on whether or not its
feasible given sewers etc. This will most likely be a fall planting.

Other Plantings
Tree Warden and Chris Aiello will look at Washington and Pleasant Streets for additional sites
for trees for a spring / fall planting.

Will consider sites on River Road and along the golf course for additional plantings
Discussion on additional placement of trees in Coughlin Park, Ingleside Park.

Tim Duplin gave recommendations for the types of trees we should consider:

Red Maple, Honey Locust, American Hop Horn Bean, Black Tupelo, American Sweet Gum,
Little Leaf Linden, Swamp White Oak, (Other large oaks are better for parks) Lace Bark Elm,
Freeman Maple, Hedge Maple, Seedless Kentucky, Hackberry, Bald Cyprus, Gingko, London
Plane and Sycamore.

There will be no Water Tank Truck this year. No money in the budget, Consideration should be
given to some kind of bladder that is portable and can be put in the back of a truck in order to
water trees during hot summer.

Further on the GIS System - Tree Inventory and if it will be incorporated on the Town Software.

If committee members feel there should be amendments to the Tree Ordinance they should
bring ideas / concerns to the next meeting.
