The meeting was a joint meeting with the Town Council regarding reviewing and adopting the Flood Plain Regulations and Plan.
Flood Plain Regulation Review:
The Review was led by the Town’s Counsel, and it was explained that the Ordinance is necessary for residents to be eligible for Flood insurance.
The Planning Board asked questions regarding the how the standards line up with mixed use buildings in the CBD Zone and how a resident would calculate their lot in the AE Zone.  Counsel explained that the language included was drafted by the State and the Town has to adopt it and then it can be amended.  This Ordinance is replacing the existing one.
The Planning Board will vote on it at the June 17, 2024, meeting.
