Committee: Health and Public Safety SubCommittee

Where: Senior Center

In Attendance: Suzanne Swope (chair), Pat Costigan, assegi=stesto, Steven Calla (invitee)
Purpose: Discuss and vote on proposal regarding the National Grid Proposal

Minutes: On April 1, 2025, National Grid presented their proposal to Town Council, which was
referred to the Health and Public Safety Committee by Chair, Jim Letterie.

The proposal is attached.

Further questions were asked of Steven Calla by the Chair. The questions and answers are
listed below:

Q: Why is this project critical?

A: The project is required in order to bring win 3 phase electrical service to the new
development.

Q: When would be project begin?
A: The project is well underway, the electrical work is minimal and would probably take 2 or 3
days to complete.

: What is the cost to Winthrop?
No cost

: What is the date of this project?
A date for this electrical work has not been set yet as a permit has not been issues?

: What is the disruption in traffic?
Minimal disruption to traffic. A detailed officer would be on site at all times.

The Committee recommends to the Town Council that the National Grid project as stated be
approved.
