MEETING MINUTES: August 25, 2025 
PROPERTIES DISCUSSED: 
There were no properties on the agenda for this meeting. 
OLD BUSINESS: 
Three (3) Decision Letters that were outstanding- 181 Winthrop Street, 50 Somerset Avenue, and 60-63
Putnam Street) were reviewed by the board and requested revisions noted. 
PUBLIC COMMENT: 
 Susan Swope gave her opinion about the need for parking and limiting street parking for multi-family 
dwellers. 
The Planning Board noted that the Town Council and the Town Manager could work to engage in a
parking and traffic study and that the Town Council should actively pursue better public transportation
service for the town, particularly with recent proposed reductions to town service. 
 Richard Ferrino and Judi Buono from the Winthrop Historical Commission came to bring awareness
to the August 2010 historic district recognition by the National Registry of Historical Places (and
information regarding MA Historic Society was shared with Town Manager ). They pointed out that
there is a map of the district boundaries. The board suggested the Town Manager post that to the 
town website along with links to the relevant definitions/information about what the 
designation entails.
Meeting Minutes: Meeting minutes for 8/19/24, 4/5/25, 6/23/25, and 7/21/25 were reviewed, revised, and 
approved.
Motion to Adjourn was made and seconded. All voted in favor.
