Dan Pallotta informed the committee that 7 bids were received to demo the old middle school. Southern

recommended by KBA. They have a reputation for finishing jobs on time and keeping within budget. Jim
Letterie made a motion to discuss SMI, Kim Dimes seconded. Steve Calandra met with KBA last week on
zoom, he asked if SMI had done a traditional walkthrough of the site. Dan Pallotta said yes they did and to
expect change orders. Jim Letterie inquired about the tree which was planted and dedicated in memory of
Michael R. Cellucci. The tree is in front of the auditorium, he asked if it would be moved. Mr. Pallotta said
that P3 puts an emphasis on community outreach and there are plans in place to re-plant the tree. Rodent
infestation is a concern; plans will be in place to address it. There will be a hotline established for
neighbors to voice their concerns and they will keep neighbors informed during the demolition process.
