The meeting focused on discussing a new AI-powered software tool called Soma Cortex that Solomon
Thompson demonstrated that could be used to help the town council evaluate and organize various community
initiatives and goals. Solomon explained how the software could assist us to: track key performance indicators, set
council goals, audit grant programs, and improve transparency through a dashboard system. The council
discussed potential goals including increasing transparency and reviewing town rules and procedures, with
participants expressing both interest in the tool's capabilities and some concerns about relying too heavily on AI
technology. The software was presented as a way to systematically evaluate ideas like historical tours, beach
festivals, and safety measures by gathering data and creating hypotheses about potential solutions before making
decisions. This is a tool that may help in planning, conducting, and evaluating work. Suzanne will talk to Jim and
Tony about trying a test case about a concern that we have in order to determine if a tool might be helpful.
