The state's study, ordered by the legislature in 2000 and published in May 2014, of the health of the people living within five miles of the airport. Winthrop lies in its highest exposure band. It found more probable undiagnosed asthma among children and more chronic lung disease among long-time adult residents there, and no difference in heart disease or hearing.
