PUBLIC COMMENT
Karin Chavis congratulates Chief Flanagan....
As far as Ferry is concerned, she has not agreed for years with this Enterprise Fund as it has never ran
in the black, always the red.
The new water rate will be $24.28

There might be some money in the SBAC that could help with keys and locks with parks and rec with
Tennis courts and keys.

In reference to the Golf Course Shed, the golf course should be required to help pay for this shed. The
old shed was in terrible shape. They are getting something that is 100% better than what was there.

Diane Sands-Agrees with Karin on the golf course. She believes the golf course should be held
responsible for some sort of payment for this shed, since they are in the arrears to the town and owing
so much money, she continues to review their contract......what is the golf course doing to help the
towns people?

Asks how many laws suits the Town currently have pending?

The Town Manager does have the full authority over any town property and is allowed to sign
contracts, as with the golf course.

We can enter into an agreement with anyone that owes taxes in the town, businesses, or residents.

Summary

Through the first month of oper

tion, the ferry has gathered a deficit of $27,321.

With that information, as wel! as information from previous years, we can predict that the ferry will be
running a deficit of $154,841 by year’s end. This translates to a loss of $6,395 per week going forward

In a regular year, operating on weekends and beginning in April, we estimate that the ferry could
increase that deficit to a total of over $277,000 for the full season.

e This number assumes standard repair costs and would increase by tens of thousands of dollars if
the ferry needed major maintenance.
