BOARD OF ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES


May 23, 2024


EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Board is entering into Executive Session to discuss strategy with respect to purposes as provided under M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 21 (a).  Discussion of these matters in an open meeting could have a detrimental effect on the process.

Assessor Diane Macken called the meeting to order at 9:30 AM

The Board reviewed all correspondence, memoranda, bulletins, emails and/or other writings presented.  The Board reviewed and signed any duly approved Statutory Exemptions presented.  The Board reviewed and signed any real estate, personal property, boat and/or motor vehicle commitments presented. The Board reviewed and signed any boat and/or motor vehicle tax abatements presented.




Motion by Peter Gill to enter Executive Session and return to open session for adjournment only.

EXECUTIVE SESSION MAY 23, 2024


Continuation of May 7 and May 14, 2024, Executive Session regarding an abatement of 91 Veterans Road Fire abatement filing 2023.  Abatement was granted for 2024 due to Fire.






Notes: 

Unanimous vote to reconsider abatement for 91 Veterans Rd, Adjusted Assessed Value 5,977,155

Unanimous vote to deny statutory blind exemption
