Town Manager Report
3-4-2025

e Department Budgets have all come in for the FY26 budget season, and I continue to work
with the Finance team to balance the budget to accommodate increases in Health and
Property Insurance along with COLA increases for union and non-union personnel. The
Capital Plan is also being updated and a draft will be presented to the Economic
Development and Capital Assets Committee at their upcoming meeting on March 5,
2025.

e As we approach the Spring Season, our tree committee is developing a Tree Adoption
program to help us regularly water our newer trees. They created a form we will post on
the website and advertise the program in the Town Manager report and social media.

© The MBTA has reached out and wants to extend the lease for one year per our existing
lease agreement. The lease will now expire on 6-30-26 with two optional one-year
extensions available to the MBTA which could extend the lease until 2028.

e The IFB for the Pauline Street Fire Station Floor Repair is out, and the bid due date has
been extended to April 10, 2025. Potential bidders have sent us follow-up questions, and
we are waiting for the structural engineer to respond. Proper notifications have been sent
out.

e MVP FY26 Action Grant Funding Round is now open, due April 4"", 2025. We have
reached out to our consultant from last year and our staff members at NSORS and will
update last year's submissions to resubmit for consideration this year.

e Lastly, Union negotiations continue to move forward. I have an upcoming meeting with
the Library Union this week and will continue to work with the other unions.

Please contact me directly if you have any questions about the items listed above or about any
other issues. Thank you.
