OLD BUSINESS:
Scott Wiley told the committee members that the subcommittee narrowed down the list of
prospective OPM ’ s who submitted RFQ ’ s from 8 to 4. The 4 prospective OPM ’ s each presented
to the subcommittee and out of all 4, Project Planning Professionals (P3) was the most
impressive. Karin Chavis called two references who ’ ve used them in the past and both gave
glowing reviews. HB asked why she was persuaded to select them and KC replied that she
spoke with President Daniel Pallotta and was impressed by his remarkable track record. KD
initially had some apprehension with this proposed group but was happy with the diversity in
their work force. SC scored them the highest because they seem approachable. They are not
too big and will be attainable if we need to contact them.
A vote was taken by the FHBC to select P3 as the OPM for the new firehouse, it passed
unanimously, and a recommendation was made to the Town Manager.
JL discussed the next steps. P3 has a lot of success finishing projects ahead of schedule and
under budget. SW sent out 8 RFQ ’ s for architects, the same process will take place as the OPM
selection.
